FundRaising for MM06

The Anjungku members were called upon by the organisers of Malam Merdeka 2006, ie. UMNO NZ, Petrunia and UMSA to participate in it's fundraising event. Anjungku members have decided on selling "Roti Jala" and were all out, showing the "Jala"-ring skills last Friday night and Saturday (18th and 19th August 2006) at the Railway Campus. The sales where overwhelming. The team had to make more than 1500 pieces of roti to meet the demands. It was a wonderfull experience, made us forget about our troubled research, un-finished conference papers or un-marked tutorials. We had a great time working together. Thank you to ALL who were present.

Will put the pix up when they are ready...

Kuna's Farewell Gathering

17 June 2006, Symonds St. Apartment, Auckland City. The farewell gathering for Sr. Kuna went on well. We had 90% attendance. The kids had great time. Nasi lemak ala carte was served courtesy of our members. Fellow members, Shita and Muhammad, gave their speeches honouring Kuna. Kuna gave her appreciation for organizing the gathering for her. Later, Shita gave the "cenderahati" to Kuna, on behalf of Anjungku members.

Thank you to our host: Zaidah and Kuna for sponsoring the venue.

Lots of photos were taken. We will post them up at http://photos.yahoo.com/myauckland2006/
